Lakanbini the Rice Mother
In Kapampangan Mythology, the origin of rice does not come from simply being planted. It came from the union of Lakanbini, the rice mother, and Lakanbuit, the name Tala carried while walking the earth. Together, they gave life to the crop that would feed a people for thousands of years to come.
